Please read carefully before removing original car lighting from the vehicle. Please read make
sure that no harm or damage comes to your vehicle.
- 1. As a safety precaution, make sure that the car has had time to cool down properly
before starting the installation process.
- 2. Put the vehicle into “park” or make sure it is securely in gear.
- 3. Make sure to have the ignition turned off and the keys removed.
- 4. Be careful to avoid burns, especially when turning on or off the vehicle’s lighting.
- 5. Be careful to avoid crushing or cutting the bulbs. Also make sure to not touch the
bulbs with your fingers, as this will cause shortened life.
- 6. Fully examine the connection of the contact points, ports and the wires as faulty
connections can cause lighting problems.
- 7. Make certain that the end of the bulb does not come in contact with the interior light
shield of the headlight when adjusting the bulb.
- 8. You may be required to drill a 25mm hole into the back of the resin or rubber
headlight cap if your vehicle has such design.
- Step 1: Get access to your factory bulb and remove the original light bulb. Access to your
bulbs can usually be found in the owners manual or by calling your dealer.
- Step 2: Unpackage and insert the HID light bulb into your headlight assembly making
sure not to touch the bulb or get it dirty.
- Step 3: Connect the wires from the ballast to the bulb. Connect the input wire to the
ballast and other end to your factory connector. Depending on which model bulb your
vehicle uses, you may have to insert two metal prongs into your factory harness.
- Step 4: Turn vehicle on and make sure everything lights up. If it does not, please check
your connection and make sure all wires are connected. If still nothing turns on,
remove the input connector to the ballast and swap it around the other way. There are
two ways of inserting the plug into the ballast.
- Step 5: Mount the ballast on a surface or existing bolt using the supplied brackets that
slide out.
Video Installation on Audi A3 2006 is shown below, installation on your vehicle
will be very similar.
